Vintage Star Wars AT-AT WALKER # Complete with Working Electrics # 1981
Here I have for sale a Vintage Star Wars Palitoy/Kenner Imperial AT-AT Walker from 1981. It is, in my opinion, in excellent condition with fully working electronics as can be seen and heard in the video clip, all four legs can now be operated and posed with no problems, I did have to source a replacement leg.
One of the top ratchet mechanisms to be slightly damaged during the cleaning and inspection process. I have stripped the Walker down and cleaned the body, applied dry PTFE lubricant to the gun sliders and motor gears and polished the battery terminal contacts. Some of the original stickers were applied in strange places, i.
The half moon ones were stuck in the cockpit on the seats etc, so I have carefully removed and reapplied all of them in the correct places using fresh sticker adhesive. The only replica stickers I have used are the main orange cockpit'eye', the multi-coloured chevron ones on the side hatch and rear panel and two underneath the body, I chose not to apply the other additional new ones as the grey colour was a lot darker than on the original stickers. It has super high quality injection moulded clear acrylic chin guns, that are exact replicas of the originals and transmit the bulb light through them as the Kenner designers intended, the clips on the AT-AT to attach the guns are all fully intact (pictured).# I do have further pairs of these guns available separately in another of my listings if you wish to equip an AT-AT #. In addition the bulb cover looks to be a very good replica, so good from the outside that I took it to be an original at first glance! Please do study the photographs and the video clip as, naturally, these form a large part of the description and please judge for yourselves the quality of the AT-AT. Please Note: The figures are shown for demonstration purposes only and are not included in the sale and neither are batteries, also the electronics have not been converted to remote control (in case you were wondering) an elastic band holding the button down for the photoshoot worked a treat!
